Solar Homes Program: $2,225 for eligible homes
The Victorian Government's Solar Homes program means more Victorians can install solar systems in their homes.
The government will provide a 50% rebate on the cost of a solar PV system, up to a maximum rebate of $2,225 in the state of Victoria for systems installed from 19th August 2018. This rebate is in addition to the STC solar incentives that are already available for new solar system purchases.
If you don't already have solar panels installed on your home, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this rebate.
Am I eligible for the Victorian Solar Homes rebate?
To be eligible for the Solar Homes program, you and your household must meet the following criteria:
have a combined household Taxable Income of less than $180,000 per annum
proof you are an owner-occupier of a home valued at under $3,000,000
you do not already have a solar panel system installed on your property*
you choose a Clean Energy Council (CEC) Approved Product and use a CEC Accredited Installer (such as Australian Wind and Solar)
*What if I installed by Solar PV System before 1st November 2009?
Did you install your solar system before the commencement of the Premium Feed-In Tariff (PFIT) on 1st November 2009?
